Shared ownership properties involve part-buying and part-renting a property.
It can help you part-own a property and is a good option if you’re looking for a smaller deposit and more manageable mortgage repayments. Starting from as little as 25%, you could own as much as 75% of the property depending on what the lender feels you can afford. The rest is paid as rent to the Housing Association.
